The Waikato Macintosh Society Incorporated is a non-profit organisation formed in January 2004 with the following objectives:
Although the Mac is famous for ease-of-use and excellent design, it can take Mac owners a long time to realise its full potential (if ever). WaiMac aims to help its members to help each other make the most of their Macs.
The membership fee is decided annually by the management committee. It is currently set at $20 per year. Families & businesses can pay a single subscription fee to cover multiple members.
If you'd like to join WaiMac, please complete and submit the online membership application form. We will contact you regarding your payment.
If you'd like to know a bit more about the group before joining, feel free to contact us or come along to the next meeting as a visitor.
For the official details of how the society is run, please have a look at the society's rules [PDF].
WaiMac’s committee coordinates the group’s activities and manages its finances on behalf of the membership – with plenty of help from other members when needed, of course! Committee members are elected each year at the AGM, but additional members can be appointed during the year.
